Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying a pool route, from pricing and training to warranty and business operations.

Getting Started

A pool route is a collection of residential pool service accounts in a specific geographic area. When you buy a pool route, you purchase an established customer base that you service on a regular schedule — typically weekly. Each customer pays a monthly fee for pool cleaning and maintenance.

Contact us by phone at 800-249-6973 or through our contact form. We'll discuss your desired location, account count, and budget. Then we create a purchase order, you sign the agreement with a $500 deposit, complete training, and start receiving accounts within 10 days.

No experience is required. Every pool route purchase includes comprehensive training — either in-field training at our locations in Pompano Beach, FL or Plano, TX, or virtual training from anywhere. We cover pool chemistry, equipment maintenance, customer service, and billing software. Learn about training.

We currently offer pool routes in Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, and Nevada, with routes available in over 70 cities across these five states. Browse routes by state.

Pricing

Our pool routes are priced at 6x monthly billing for 40+ accounts, 6.5x for 30-39 accounts, and 7x for 20-29 accounts. This is half the industry standard of 12x. For example, 40 accounts averaging $150/month would cost approximately $36,000. See full pricing.

We source accounts directly rather than brokering existing routes, which allows us to offer pricing at half the industry standard. Our business model is built on volume and long-term relationships with buyers, not maximizing the price of each individual sale.

The deposit to secure your pool route is $500. This amount is applied toward the total cost of your route.

Contact us to discuss payment options for your pool route purchase. We can work with you to find a solution that fits your budget. Call 800-249-6973 to discuss your options.

Yes. Many of our buyers start with an initial route and add more accounts over time as their business grows. Contact us when you're ready to expand.

Training

We offer in-field training at our locations in Pompano Beach, FL and Plano, TX, where you work alongside experienced professionals on real pools. We also offer virtual training for buyers who prefer to train remotely. Both options cover pool chemistry, equipment, customer service, and billing software. Learn more about training.

Pool School is our dedicated online training platform at poolschool.superiorpoolroutes.com. It provides video tutorials, guides, and resources to supplement your initial training and support your ongoing learning as you grow your business.

Yes. Training is included with every pool route purchase at no additional cost. This includes your choice of in-field or virtual training, plus access to Pool School.

Warranty

Our warranty has two categories. Category One covers losses beyond your control (such as customer relocation) — these accounts are replaced within 60 days. Category Two covers service-related losses — we provide one-on-one strategy sessions to help improve your retention. Learn about our warranty.

The warranty period begins when each account is delivered to you. Report any account losses as soon as they occur so we can categorize and address them promptly.

Our warranty response escalates based on the percentage of accounts lost: at 5% we initiate monitoring, at 7.5% we schedule a detailed strategy session, and at 10% we provide intensive support including additional training and a comprehensive business review.

Business Operations

Earnings depend on the number of accounts, service pricing in your area, and your operating costs. Pool route income varies based on factors including location, number of accounts, service frequency, and additional services offered. Contact us to discuss realistic income expectations for your specific situation. Disclaimer: This is not a guarantee of income. Individual results vary based on effort, market conditions, and business management.

You'll need basic pool service equipment including a reliable vehicle, pool cleaning tools (net, brush, vacuum), water testing kit, chemicals, and a smartphone or tablet for billing software. We provide guidance on equipment during training.

Requirements vary by state and municipality. Generally, you'll need a business license and liability insurance. Some states may require additional certifications. We recommend consulting with a local business attorney or your state's licensing board for specific requirements in your area.

We provide training and setup for EZ Pool Biller, a pool service billing and route management software available at $35/month. It handles invoicing, customer management, route optimization, and chemical tracking. Learn about EZ Pool Biller.

Superior Pool Routes (Superior Point Inc.) was founded in 2004 and has sold over 20,000 pool service accounts across Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, and Nevada. Learn more about us.
